Due to the great need for a social dance for the many gay people living in the northern suburbs of Cape Town PINK NITEOWL was born on 01 April 2011. Although catering for a predominantly gay crowd we welcome persons of all walks of life into our 'family' circle to join our dances.
FRIDAY dances will have you dancing down memory lane with all the great hits played in the 70's, 80's & 90's. Let your feet pick up the rhythm of the all time greats as you do the twist, rock 'n roll, waltz, tango, good ol' disco dancing and not to mention langarm & sakkie-sakkie, our traditional 'boeredanse', which is loved by most South Africans .
SATURDAY dances will have all the flavour of our modern era, with all the latest hits as well as all time favourites that will keep you on the floor for non-stop enjoyment. We will also have all the latest Afrikaans hits that will keep you going with the sakkie-sakkie & langarm.
We have decided that vibes with house music, club, rap & hip hop will take a backseat as we feel there are enough clubs catering for this type of music.
SUNDAYS We will organise fun events from time to time such as live performances by new local talent, social braais, karaoke, champagne breakfasts, etc.
